Ahead of Bengaluru’s lockdown starting on Tuesday night, liquor shops in the city did roaring business. Considering that liquor shops will be shut for a week and the possibility of the lockdown being extended, liquor lovers were stocking up as much as they could.
On Monday alone, KSBCL reported revenues of Rs 230 crore. Rs 21 crore worth IML and Rs 15 crore worth beer were sold. Bars too had purchased large quantities of liquor from KSBCL.
