BENGALURU:
Karnataka has reported 113 Covid patients discharged in the last 12 days, while it has also registered 101 positive cases in the same period.
Disclosing this at a presser, Education and Covid-19 minister S Suresh Kumar said as many as 271 patients of the total of 601 positive cases in Karnataka have been discharged till date. The patient recovery rate is high compared to the positive cases reported.
The positive and discharge cases work out to an average of 14 positive cases and 16 discharges per day.
20 patients have been discharged on Saturday, including 6 from Kalaburagi, 8 from Belagavi and 2 each from Bidar, Bengaluru and Dharwad. According to data from the State Health Department, the highest number among the 271 discharged are from Bengaluru. While 71 of the 145 positive cases in Bengaluru have been discharged, 64 of the 88 in Mysuru and 15 out of the 71 in Belagavi have been discharged.
