BENGALURU: Families using the Hebbal Kempapura Electric Crematorium may face delays between October 9 and 13, when Furnace 1 will be shut for emergency and essential maintenance, the Greater Bengaluru Authority has announced.
The other furnace at the facility, which comes under the Bengaluru North City Corporation, will remain operational during the five-day shutdown.

The authority has asked the public to cooperate during the maintenance period and, if necessary, use nearby alternative electric crematoriums.
The facility is scheduled to become fully operational again from October 14, according to the advisory. The closure applies to Furnace 1 rather than the entire crematorium.
