CHIKKAMAGALURU: Ensuring drinking-water supply in rural areas during drought was among the issues reviewed at a progress meeting in Chikkamagaluru, according to the Karnataka Panchayat Raj Commissionerate.
The meeting was held at the Abdul Nazeer Sab auditorium of the Zilla Panchayat under the chairmanship of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Eshwar Khandre, the department said.

Officials discussed the VB–G RAM G programme, rural drinking-water supply during drought, and the progress and implementation of measures connected with sustainable rural development.
Panchayat Raj Commissioner Patil Yalagouda Shivanagouda and senior district-level officials attended the review, according to the department’s two-part X update.
The department’s account of the meeting placed water supply alongside the wider review of rural development implementation.
