BENGALURU: Karnataka is exploring deeper partnerships with venture-capital investors to help DeepTech startups move beyond validation and pilot projects towards procurement and scale, Minister Priyank Kharge has said.
After joining the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association’s Bharat DeepTech Roundtable, Kharge outlined how investors could work with the State through co-investment, mentoring promising founders, supporting pilots and exploring joint intellectual property.

The roundtable brought together investors, founders and ecosystem leaders to discuss how Karnataka could move faster “from mission to market” across DeepTech sectors, he said in an X post.
Kharge also highlighted the Government First programme, access to anonymised government datasets and regulatory sandboxes as ways for startups to address public problems and test solutions in real-world settings.
He said the discussion would help shape a more structured framework for government–VC engagement under Karnataka’s DeepTech Decade mission.
