First PU results to be sent on mobile

Date:

BENGALURU:

First PUC results will be declared on May 5. But with principals finding it difficult during the lockdown to go their colleges to announce the results, the government has instructed all  government and private colleges to send the results directly to the mobile phones of students or parents via SMS.

Speaking to the media, S Suresh Kumar, Primary and Secondary Education Minister, said, “Principals are finding it difficult to reach their respective colleges. This will be solved with the help of the police department issuing passes. Also, we are instructing all colleges to send the results to the mobile numbers of students or parents. This will help prevent mass gatherings.”

The PUC board will also send the guidelines on the supplementary exams for students who have failed.
