Bengaluru Mayor’s PA and Joint Commissioner’s 2 staffers test positive
Offices sealed, Mayor and Jt Commissioner self-isolate

BBMP Mayor M Goutham Kumar’s personal assistant B Kiran tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday evening, following which the Mayor’s office was sanitised. The Mayor himself has gone into home quarantine, cancelling all his engagements including a meeting of corporators called by Revenue Minister R Ashoka.
Meanwhile, the office of BBMP Joint Commissioner (East) KR Pallavi was sealed for the next two days after 2 Group D employees tested positive. They were among 50 staffers in the office who had been tested for Covid-19. The Joint Commissioner has gone into self-quarantine until her test report comes.
As per sources in the Mayor’s office, his PA, Kiran, developed fever symptoms last Thursday but continued to attend engagements alongwith the Mayor. He underwent a Covid test on Sunday and the report came positive on Monday evening.
