CM inspects Smart City work in Bengaluru

The special vehicle for the project, Bengaluru Smart City Ltd, has undertaken 37 works across the city, including road development — mainly in the central business district — at an estimated cost of Rs 930 crore.

Slow progress

So far, 4 works have been completed while 29 works are in progress. The tender process for 4 works is underway, and the total cost incurred to date is Rs 103 crore.

The CM inspected the work underway at Race Course Road, Rajaram Mohan Roy Road, Hayes Road, Wood Street, Tata Lane, Capital Hotel junction on Raj Bhavan Road, and Planetarium Road. He instructed the authorities to complete the work on a war footing for the benefit of citizens.
