Anjum Parwez Returns to Key Role, Appointed Additional Chief Secretary of Karnataka Forest Department
Bengaluru, June 7: Senior IAS officer Anjum Parwez (1994 batch) has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department, according to a notification issued by the Karnataka Government.
Parwez, who was awaiting posting, has been assigned the position with immediate effect against an existing vacancy.
A seasoned bureaucrat with extensive administrative experience, Anjum Parwez has held several key positions in the Karnataka government over the years. His appointment comes at a time when environmental governance, forest conservation and climate resilience have become major policy priorities for the state.
The appointment was approved through an official notification issued from Vidhana Soudha on June 7.
