The Bengaluru Live (“TBL”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates https://thebengalurulive.com/ and https://kannada.thebengalurulive.com/ (together, the “Websites”). TBL is operated in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India by an individual/sole proprietorship. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the Websites or contact us.

We may collect information that you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message and any other information included when you contact us, submit a correction, respond to a survey or otherwise communicate with us.

4. Reader Revenue Manager and voluntary contributions
TBL may offer readers the option to support its journalism through Google Reader Revenue Manager (“RRM”). Support is voluntary. Under TBL’s current Contribution Request model, normal news content remains freely accessible.
If you choose to make a one-time or recurring contribution, payments are processed through Google Reader Revenue Manager, Google Payments and/or the relevant payment provider, as applicable. TBL does not represent that it directly stores your complete card or bank-account credentials.
Google and/or the relevant payment service may provide TBL with limited information made available through the applicable workflow and needed to administer reader support, such as transaction status, contribution type or amount, and renewal or cancellation status. We use such information only for operating the contribution programme, responding to support requests, accounting, compliance and related record-keeping.
5. How we use information
We may use information to operate, secure and improve the Websites; respond to enquiries and correction requests; understand readership and website performance; manage advertising and reader-support features; prevent fraud or misuse; comply with legal obligations; and protect our rights, readers and services.
6. When we share information
We may share information with service providers that process it on our behalf or support the Websites, including hosting, security, analytics, advertising, email, payments and reader-revenue providers. We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights or safety, investigate suspected misuse, or in connection with a change in the operation of the Websites. We do not sell personal information as a standalone business activity.
