BENGALURU:

Within a span of a few weeks, the Karnataka government has once again changed its home quarantine policy for returnees from Delhi and Tamil Nadu, while Maharashtra and Mumbai returnees will continue to face 7 days’ institutional quarantine and 7 days’ home quarantine.

Announcing the latest change on Thursday, the government made it clear that Delhi and Tamil Nadu returnees need not stay in institutional quarantine but will have to undergo home quarantine.

Revenue Minister R Ashoka

Revenue Minister R Ashoka said, “The government has changed the quarantine guidelines. Institutional quarantine is compulsory for those coming from Maharashtra, while the rules have been relaxed for Tamil Nadu and Delhi returnees.”

As per the earlier rules, returnees from Tamil Nadu and Delhi had to compulsorily stay for three days in institutional quarantine.
