BENGALURU:
Central Crime Branch police on Thursday arrested Shivakumar Basavana Gowda of Haveri for allegedly duping people of lakhs of rupees by promising to get them government jobs and also getting pending bills released by government departments like PWD.
One Ramesh Narayanachar had lodged a complaint at the Ashok Nagar police station, alleging that Shivakumar had falsely claimed he could get Ramesh’s relative Jnanashekhar a government job.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Patil in a tweet said a CCB team led by ACPs Nagraj and Hazresh arrested the accused. Persons who have been cheated by him can contact the CCB, Patil said.
