BENGALURU:
Maskless citizens have proven profitable for BBMP, which collected fines in excess of Rs 57 lakh in June alone.
The police and BBMP marshals collected fines totalling Rs 57.39 lakh from 28,688 people, including 27,421 for not covering their face and 1,267 for not maintaining social distancing.
Meanwhile, BBMP has stated that 98 areas in the city have been sealed.
