Bengaluru: Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over South Interior Karnataka on Friday, October 9, the India Meteorological Department said in its daily weather briefing.
The forecast places the region among areas expected to receive isolated heavy rain, alongside Kerala and Mahe and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, where the forecast covers October 9 and 10.
The department also forecast isolated heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam on October 9, and over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on October 13 and 14.
Conditions were becoming favourable for further withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from more parts of eastern India and the northern peninsula, and many parts of northeast India, over the next three to four days, IMD said.
