Srirampura Police and Military Intelligence Jointly Uncovered Fake Army Recruitment Scam that Duped 150 Youths
BENGALURU:
A Joint Operation was carried out by the Military Intelligence, Bengaluru and Srirampura police team of Chitradurga district, Karnataka to apprehend a fraudster and his accomplice in Chitradurga on Oct 20, for allegedly defrauding 150 youths of Rs 1 Crore, under the pretext of recruiting them and providing them job into the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy, in different districts of Karnataka like Chitradurga, Davangere and Haveri districts.
Prakash (31 yrs) of Davengere district has filed a complaint against Sivaraj Vatagal, (40 yrs) r/o Hubbli who is a deserter of Indian Army. Srirampura Police Station registered an FIR against Sivaraj and his accomplice Mrs Beemmava. Items like fake identity cards and Army recruitment related documents were recovered from them.
