Political tensions escalated in West Bengal after Union Minister and state BJP President Sukanta Majumdar accused the ruling government of executing ‘Land Jihad’ in North and South 24 Parganas. Majumdar alleged that Muslim leaders from the Trinamool Congress are coercing people to relinquish their land for minimal compensation.
