Bengaluru: The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has achieved a record-breaking turnover of ₹46 crore during the 2025 Dasara–Diwali festive season, marking a 38% growth compared to the previous year, said Minister for Animal Husbandry and Sericulture K. Venkatesh on Sunday.

Addressing a press conference at Vikas Soudha, the Minister said that KMF — which has been a leader in the state’s dairy and cooperative movement for over five decades — has once again proved its strength through the Nandini brand’s outstanding performance.

“During the 2025 festive season, KMF and its member milk unions jointly sold 1,100 metric tonnes of sweet products, generating a record revenue of ₹46 crore. This surpasses last year’s 725 metric tonnes and ₹33.48 crore turnover,” the Minister stated.

He added that KMF had anticipated higher demand for sweets this year and planned two months in advance, targeting 1,000 metric tonnes. “We exceeded that target thanks to the cooperation of all milk unions across the state,” he said.

Currently, KMF collects around one crore litres of milk daily from dairy farmers, out of which 65 lakh litres of milk, curd, and UHT milk are marketed daily in Karnataka and other states. Under the ‘Nandini’ brand, over 175 varieties of milk and milk-based products — including ghee, butter, paneer, sweets, milk powder, and beverages — are sold across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, Delhi, Assam, and even in select international markets.

The Minister highlighted that Nandini’s purity, quality, and affordability have made it a trusted household name and a symbol of consumer confidence.

He added that the record growth reflects not just the brand’s credibility but also the dedication of Karnataka’s dairy farmers and the strength of the cooperative system.

“This milestone is a testament to the hard work of milk producers and the cooperative spirit that drives Karnataka’s dairy sector,” Venkatesh said, urging the media to highlight the achievement.
