Namma Metro Pink Line: CMRS Begins Three-Day Safety Inspection
Bengaluru: Namma Metro’s elevated Pink Line section entered a statutory safety inspection on October 6, with the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) beginning a three-day review of the 7.5-km stretch from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere.
V. Venkatasubramanian, CMRS, Southern Circle, Bengaluru, and his team commenced the inspection of the section, which has six stations, according to Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).
Safety inspection towards opening approval
BMRCL said the CMRS inspection is a statutory step towards obtaining authorisation to open the elevated section for passenger services.
The inspection marks progress in the approval process for this part of the Pink Line. The section must obtain the required authorisation before it can carry passengers.
