Make Covid treatment free in ALL hospitals: Siddaramaiah
Former CM accuses govt of ‘obliging’ private hospitals’ lobby

Taking strong objection to the ‘rates’ fixed by the state government for treatment of Covid patients in private hospitals, former CM and Opposition leader Siddaramaiah has demanded free treatment in all hospitals for victims of the coronavirus. .
In a series of tweets, Siddaramaiah said, “The rates fixed for the treatment of Covid-19 patients in private hospitals are inhumane and against the interests of the general public. Are the sky-high prices an attempt to save people or torture them?”

Government should take measures to provide free treatment for all #Covid19 patients admitted in all the hospitals. There should also be a standard operating procedure for the treatment, which should be thoroughly monitored.

“The Central and state governments have completely failed in their attempts to address the Covid-19 pandemic. They now want to shift the burden onto private establishments, thereby exploiting poor and marginalized people.

It will cost approximately 12-13 lakhs, If 2-3 members of the same family needs ventilator treatment. Can families afford such expensive treatment? Does govt not have the responsibility to help its people?

He alleged, “The state government has obliged the lobby of private hospitals by fixing the fees for treatment of the coronavirus. Is CM Yediyurappa going to help people get infected?”
