BENGALURU:

Minister for Health and Family Welfare B Sriramulu tested positive for the coronavirus on Sunday. He has been admitted to the government-run Bowring Hospital.

Confirming his infected status, Sriramulu tweeted: “I got my Covid test done today after feeling symptoms of fever. The report came positive. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, all departments of the government, including my department, have been working hard day and night risking our lives against the Covid pandemic.

“From the time of corona’s appearance, I have had the opportunity to visit the 30 districts and work in harmony for treating people well, as per the government’s aim. It is in this backdrop that I am going to be hospitalized and get treated.”

He added: “I pray to the Lord to heal me sooner and give me more strength to do more hard work. All those who have been in contact with me recently have been requested to take precautionary measures.”
