Bengaluru: A late-night Central Crime Branch (CCB) sweep in J.J. Nagar and neighbouring areas led police to trace four people linked to warrant or proclamation proceedings, Bengaluru City Police said. Officers also inspected 270 vehicles during the operation aimed at curbing criminal activity.
Police said the checks covered 72 rowdy-sheeters, 65 people listed in the M.O. offender category and 23 drug peddlers or users. Action was taken in connection with criminal cases and traffic-rule violations.

The city police put the overall coverage of the operation at 535 individuals and locations. They said necessary action had been initiated against violations of the law detected during the checks.
Bengaluru City Police said CCB operations would continue to prevent crime, enforce the law and ensure public safety.
