Voters Who Fail to Return Enumeration Forms May Be Left Out of Draft Electoral Roll: Bengaluru South City Corporation
Bengaluru, July 13: The Bengaluru South City Corporation has urged voters to cooperate with the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll, warning that names may be omitted from the draft electoral roll if the prescribed enumeration forms are not filled and returned to Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
Issuing a public notice, Additional District Election Officer K. N. Ramesh said Booth Level Officers are currently conducting door-to-door visits to distribute enumeration forms, collect completed applications and digitise the information as part of the electoral roll revision process within the Bengaluru South City Corporation limits.
BLOs Conducting Door-to-Door Verification
According to the notice, BLOs are personally visiting voters’ residences to distribute the enumeration forms.
Voters have been requested to carefully fill in all the required details and hand over the completed forms only to the respective Booth Level Officers.
The election authorities said the exercise is aimed at ensuring that the electoral roll remains accurate and updated.

To help citizens complete the forms correctly, the Election Commission of India has uploaded step-by-step instructional videos on its official YouTube channel.
The authorities have advised voters to refer to these guidance videos if they require assistance while filling out the enumeration forms.
Failure to Return Forms May Lead to Deletion
The Additional District Election Officer said strict action is being taken in accordance with the directions of the Election Commission of India to maintain the accuracy of the electoral roll.
He warned that if voters do not fill in and return the enumeration forms supplied by the Booth Level Officers, their names may be omitted from the draft electoral roll.
He appealed to all eligible voters to cooperate with the exercise responsibly and complete the verification process within the stipulated time.
