Team to study long-term effects of Covid-19: Minister
New treatments for recovered patients will follow
BENGALURU:
Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar has said that a team of medical experts will be formed to research the long-term effects of Covid-19.
The minister tweeted, “Karnataka will constitute a special technical committee of medical experts to study the long term effects of Covid-19 in people who have recovered from the infection. We will evaluate those who had mild & severe symptoms, with special reference to people with co-morbidities.”
He added, “The team will also develop new strategies for clinical care to improve long- term health of all those recovered from Covid-19.”
ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸೋಂಕಿನಿಂದ ಗುಣಮುಖ ಹೊಂದಿದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಂಟಾಗಬಹುದಾದ ದೂರಗಾಮಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ನಡೆಸಲು ಒಂದು ವಿಶೇಷ ತಜ್ಞ ವೈದ್ಯರ ಸಮಿತಿ ರಚಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಲಘು ಮತ್ತು ತೀವ್ರ ರೋಗಲಕ್ಷಣ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಇತರೆ ಸಹ-ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು. (1/2)
