Plea to CM to permit film shoots, reopen cinemas
BENGALURU:
Kannada Film Academy representatives met Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Friday and requested permission to resume film shoots and reopen cinemas. They also asked for monetary relief for the industry.
The Chief Minister later tweeted that a delegation headed by Sunil Puranik, President of the Karnataka Film Academy, had met him with their requests. “I have promised to discuss it with the Centre,” he said.
