Bengaluru mall got relief earlier as judge ordered it to be unsealed on condition of a Rs 2-crore demand draft to BBMP
BENGALURU:
The Karnataka High Court will now pronounce its judgement on the Mantri Square Mall property tax issue on Saturday, December 18.
A single-judge bench of Justice M Nagaprasanna had on Saturday ordered that Mantri Mall be unsealed pursuant to the mall issuing a cheque for Rs 4 crore to BBMP, which the court said could be taken back after the mall management paid Rs 2 crore via a demand draft to the civic agency on Monday.
The court had listed the matter on Monday at 2.30 pm. Justice Nagaprasanna has now listed the case on December 18. “List the matter on 18/12/2021 for dictating orders. Interim order granted earlier is extended till the next date of hearing,” his order reads.
