Facebook post says takeaway services will continue
BENGALURU:
Vidyarthi Bhavan, the iconic eatery in south Bengaluru, has called a halt to its dine-in services from June 27. However, it will continue to provide takeaways.
A post on Vidyarthi Bhavan’s Facebook page says: “We have started our dine-in services from June 8. We have taken utmost care to address the apprehensions of the customers through various hygiene measures and following all government guidelines and going beyond. Covid-19 cases in Karnataka and Bengaluru are rising alarmingly in the last few days. Looking at the pace and the dimensions of the spread, there is a risk of community spread.”
“Vidyarthi Bhavan, as part of the service industry, has an obligation and responsibility towards society and its customers. Keeping the likely risk of community spread in mind, we have decided to temporarily stop dine-in service from June 27, till such time the situation improves,” the post continues.
The Facebook reassures its loyal clientele that “however, you can continue to have our food by availing takeaway and parcel services. You can also continue to book through Swiggy or Dunzo apps for delivery services.”
