Ex-minister Khader attends Covid burial sans PPE suit

In yet another instance of irresponsible behaviour by a public representative, MLA and former minister UT Khader participated in the funeral of a Covid case without wearing the required PPE suit.
The 70-year old man (Patient 6,252 as per the Health Department) was buried in the graveyard of Bolar masjid here on Tuesday evening. While the MLA cavalierly attended the funeral sans a PPE suit, the Health Department staff went by the book and dutifully wore the coveralls.
The elderly man arrived from Bengaluru on June 7 and was admitted to a Covid hospital in Mangaluru on June 12 after testing positive. He was suffering from acute respiratory distress and died on Tuesday. The funeral was held the same evening.
