Over 30.68 crore unorganised workers, with more than half being female, have enrolled on the e-Shram portal, as reported by Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje in a Lok Sabha statement. The e-Shram platform, introduced on August 26, 2021, aims to create a comprehensive database of India’s unorganised workforce, linked with Aadhaar.
