Two Injured After Large Tree Collapses Near Attiguppe Metro Station in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: Two people were injured after a large tree collapsed near Attiguppe Metro Station in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
According to local reports, the tree fell despite there being no rain or strong winds at the time of the incident. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The incident has raised concerns over the condition of ageing trees in the city. Local residents urged the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) to identify and remove unsafe trees and weak branches to prevent similar incidents.
Tree falls and falling branches have led to injuries and, in some cases, loss of life in Bengaluru in recent years, prompting repeated calls for preventive inspections and timely maintenance.
