Alok Kumar gets key Karnataka police post as ADG, Law and Order
BENGALURU:
Coming on the heels of reposting erstwhile BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta, the state government has transferred his batchmate, Bengaluru city police chief and IPS officer Kamal Pant, and posted 1991 batch IPS officer CH Pratap Reddy as the new Bengaluru city police commissioner.
The order copy of Monday reads, “CH Pratap Reddy, IPS (KN-1991), Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, is transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City vice Kamal Pant, IPS, transferred.”
Meanwhile, Kamal Pant, IPS (KN-1990), Director General of Police and Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, has been transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Director General of Police, Recruitment, Bengaluru in the upgraded post, relieving R Hitendra from the concurrent charge.
In another transfer, Alok Kumar, IPS (KN-1994), Additional Director General of Police, KSRP, Bengaluru has been transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order.

Meanwhile, MN Anucheth, IPS (KN-2009), Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Division, Bengaluru City, has been transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Superintendent of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, vice T Venkatesh, KSPS, who has been transferred.
