Bengaluru, March 12: The Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner Jagadeesh G has clarified that there is no shortage of domestic LPG cylinders in the district and urged citizens not to believe rumours circulating on social media regarding a possible supply crisis.

In a public advisory issued on Thursday, the Deputy Commissioner stated that adequate stocks of domestic cooking gas cylinders are currently available across Bengaluru Urban district, and there is no need for panic among consumers.

The district administration has observed that misleading messages and rumours about LPG shortages are being widely circulated on social media platforms, which may cause unnecessary concern among the public.

Jagadeesh G appealed to citizens not to panic or engage in unnecessary bulk booking of cylinders, assuring that the supply of domestic LPG remains stable and sufficient to meet the demand.

The Deputy Commissioner also informed that any grievances or issues related to domestic LPG supply can be reported through the district helpline number: 9611404384.

Citizens are encouraged to contact the helpline for clarifications, complaints, or assistance regarding LPG supply, the official release stated.

The district administration reiterated that LPG stocks are adequate and supply operations are functioning normally, and requested the public to rely only on official information and avoid spreading unverified rumours.
