A report from the Ministry of Home Affairs has revealed that a total of 2,601 Bangladeshi citizens were apprehended while attempting to cross into Indian territory over the last 13 months. The figures, presented to the Rajya Sabha by Union Minister of State for Home, Nityanand Rai, cover the period from January 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025.
