BBMP reserves 50 ambulances for Covid patients’ contacts
BENGALURU:
Addressing complaints of a shortage of ambulances, BBMP has set aside 50 ambulances for contacts of Covid patients.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by BBMP Special Commissioner D Randeep on Wednesday.
Six of the ambulances have been allocated for Bengaluru Urban district and 4 for Bengaluru Rural district. 38 ambulances are reserved for the 8 zones of BBMP, while 2 will be stationed at the civic headquarters.
Eight ambulances will be reserved for transporting the bodies of Covid patients.
A control room will monitor the despatch of the ambulances.
