Judge Rules HD Revanna Will Spend Three Days in SIT Custody in Kidnap Probe
BENGALURU: In a significant development, the 17th ACMM Judge Ravindra Kattimani has ordered HD Revanna to be placed in SIT custody for three days (till May 8)in connection with a woman kidnapping case.
Revanna was brought before the judge today, with the proceedings taking place at the judge’s residence in Koramangala due to it being a Sunday. Judge Kattimani made the decision to send Revanna to SIT custody for five days, issuing an official order.
The case stems from a complaint filed by a man who reported his mother missing after an obscene video was released featuring her. The man’s picture was also included in the video, prompting him to file a complaint at the KR Nagar police station in Mysore on the late night of May 2. Satish Babu, a relative of Revanna’s wife Bhavani, has already been arrested by the SIT in connection with the case and identified as accused number 2. Revanna is considered the primary accused in the case, as per the complaint filed by the victim’s 20-year-old son.
Extensive searches were conducted across Mysore, Hassan, Mandya districts, and in Bengaluru city to locate the kidnapped woman. She was eventually found in a farm house belonging to one of Revanna’s relatives. Following her discovery, SIT officials brought her to Bengaluru for questioning. Reports suggest that the woman provided a troubling statement during her interrogation.
