BENGALURU:
Among the measures to mitigate the woes of the poor during the lockdown, the Karnataka government on Wednesday decided to purchase excess milk procured by the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) and distribute it free of cost to residents residing in slums and poor people through urban local bodies across the state from Thursday onwards.
The Chief Minister, who chaired a high-level meeting, also instructed horticulture department officials to keep Hopcoms outlets open throughout the day.
