KEA Warns UGCET 2026 Candidates to Update 12th Marks via DigiLocker; Results May Be Withheld
Bengaluru: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued an important notice to UGCET 2026 candidates from CBSE, CISCE (ICSE) and other State Boards regarding the mandatory updation of Class 12 marks through the KEA portal using DigiLocker integration.
KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna IAS stated that candidates must complete the process immediately, failing which their UGCET 2026 results may be withheld.
DigiLocker Integration Mandatory
According to KEA, a dedicated link has now been activated on the KEA website for candidates who have passed their 12th Standard examination from:
- CBSE
- CISCE / ICSE
- Other State Boards
Candidates are required to log in to the KEA portal and provide DigiLocker access permission so that their marks can be fetched automatically and used for merit calculation as per official rules.
“No Manual Submission Allowed”
KEA clarified that there is:
- No provision to manually enter marks
- No requirement to submit physical or scanned mark sheets
The marks will only be retrieved digitally through DigiLocker integration.
Steps Candidates Must Follow
Step 1:
Candidates must first log in to DigiLocker and download their 12th Standard marks card.
KEA also shared a YouTube explainer link for guidance regarding the process.
Step 2:
Candidates must then log in to the KEA CET portal and enable DigiLocker permissions for automatic marks retrieval.
Immediate Action Advised
KEA has advised students to complete the process at the earliest to avoid delays or withholding of UGCET results.
Candidates who have already updated their marks through the system can ignore the notice, officials clarified.
