CHIKKAMAGALUR, HASSAN: Nine people were grievously injured after their car collided with a KSRTC bus near Belenahalli in Tarikere taluk on NH-206 on Tuesday night.
The injured were shifted to the McGann hospital in Shivamogga for treatment. All of them hail from Bhadravathi. The car was badly crushed in the accident.
The bus was on its way from Shivamogga to Tarikere while the car was heading to Bhadravathi from Tarikere when the accident occurred. The Tarikere police have registered a case.

In another accident involving a car and a truck, one person died while six others were injured, near Nuggenahalli Cross in Channarayapatna taluk of Hassan district.
The accident occurred early on Tuesday morning near the flyover on NH-75 and the deceased was identified as Nandakumar (37) of Bengaluru. The car was coming to Bengaluru while the goods vehicle was on its way to Hassan.
While two of the injured were taken to the taluk hospital in Channarayapatna, three others were shifted to the district hospital in Hassan where their condition is said to be serious.
The driver of the goods vehicle fled the scene after the accident. The Channarayapatna traffic police have registered a case.
