The Karnataka government has appointed 2010 batch IAS officer Vinoth Priya R as Commissioner in the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).

Priya is currently posted as Managing Director at Karnataka State Mineral Corporation Limited.
IPS Dr.PS Harsha, who was posted as Commissioner, is on study leave and the post was vacant. Now, IAS Priya will take over concurrent charge as DIPR commissioner. DIPR Director DP Muralidhar also retired on April 29.
