BENGALURU: The police in Tumakuru have successfully apprehended an undertrial who had escaped from Victoria Hospital. The escaped prisoner, identified as Chandrashekhar, was captured at the Tumakuru bus station around 8:30 pm on Sunday night.
Chandrashekhar was then transported back to Bengaluru by the Parappana Agrahara central jail staff. He had managed to flee from the Victoria Trauma Centre, prompting the registration of a case at the VV Puram police station.

The jail staff, under the leadership of Santosh Rathod, took Chandrashekhar into custody. A joint effort between the VV Puram police and jail authorities led to a successful search operation that ultimately located the accused in Tumakuru. Currently, Chandrashekhar is being held at the VV Puram police station.
