BENGALURU: A recent incident in Bengaluru has left authorities shocked as an undertrial prisoner managed to escape from Victoria Hospital where he was receiving treatment. The prisoner in question, Chandrashekhar, was admitted to the Trauma Care Center of the hospital by police from Parappana Agrahara Central Jail after complaining of chest pain on May 2.
Chandrashekhar’s escape took place early on Sunday morning, around 5:30 am, catching the police off guard. He had been jailed in connection to a robbery case. Following the escape, officials from the V.V. Puram police station and jail authorities conducted an inspection of the hospital. A search operation has been launched to locate and apprehend the escaped prisoner.
