Devastating Car Crash on Belagavi-Bailahongala Highway Leaves Three Family Members Dead, Former MLAs Son injured

BELAGAVI: A devastating car accident shook the Belagavi-Bailahongala highway as a Kia car collided with an Alto, resulting in the tragic deaths of three family members. The deceased, identified as husband Anis Mustaq Syed, wife Ayman Anis Syed (24), toddler – Ahmed Anis Syed (1.5), lost their lives in the accident. Another child sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.

The heart-wrenching incident took place on the outskirts of Chikkabagevadi village in Bailahongala taluk. The Kia car, driven by Subhash Patil, son of former MLA RV Patil, was attempting to overtake when it collided with the oncoming Alto car. Subhash Patil, along with his son, was also injured in the crash and is currently hospitalized in Belgaum.

The injured are receiving treatment in the ICU, while the bodies of the deceased have been transferred to a local hospital under the supervision of the Bailhongal police station. This tragic event serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and vigilance while driving.
