Tumakuru Proposed as Site for Bengaluru’s Second Airport, Plan Sent to DGCA for Evaluation: G Parameshwara
Bengaluru: Tumakuru has been proposed as the site for Bengaluru’s second airport, with the project having the potential to serve 20 districts, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara said in a post on X.
Parameshwara said the proposal has been submitted to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for mandatory technical and feasibility evaluation.
According to the information shared by him, plans also include transit integration between the proposed airport site and Kempegowda International Airport.
The accompanying graphic described the proposal as part of aviation infrastructure planning aimed at advancing regional connectivity through federal-state evaluation.
