New Delhi/Bengaluru: Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and discussed priorities and ongoing initiatives of the Ministry of Steel and the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
According to a statement issued by Kumaraswamy, the discussion covered measures to strengthen India’s manufacturing and steel sectors, advance self-reliance and accelerate the country’s journey towards the Viksit Bharat goal.
Kumaraswamy holds the Steel and Heavy Industries portfolios in the Union government. He said he briefed the Prime Minister about transformative measures being undertaken by the two ministries.
The meeting also covered development issues and efforts to strengthen the NDA alliance in Karnataka, according to Kumaraswamy’s Kannada statement.
Yuva Janata Dal (Secular) state president Nikhil Kumaraswamy accompanied the Union Minister during the meeting.
Kumaraswamy thanked the Prime Minister for the trust and guidance extended during the discussions. The statement did not announce any new project, financial allocation or policy decision arising from the meeting.
