HUBBALLI: A garbage truck belonging to the Hubballi Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) ran over a six-year-old girl, leading to her death, at Sonia Gandhi Nagar here. The deceased was identified as Hamidabanu Kabade.
The garbage truck knocked down the girl and ran over her, killing her on the spot. The incident was captures on CCTV camera. The body of the child was shifted to the KIMS hospital for post-mortem examination.
The incident occurred in Bendigeri police limits and the Hubballi South traffic police have registered a case and seized the vehicle.
