Hubballi: Construction of the new terminal at Hubballi Airport is progressing at a brisk pace at an approximate cost of Rs 340 crore, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said on Friday, November 6.
The new terminal will span 15,950 square metres and can handle 2,400 passengers at a time, Joshi said in a post on X. It will have four aerobridges, 14 check-in counters and a parking system for about 500 cars, buses and taxis.
Joshi, the Dharwad MP, said the terminal is meant to enhance global connectivity for Hubballi-Dharwad and the wider North Karnataka region. He described the international-standard airport as a decades-long dream of the people of Hubballi, the commercial city, and Dharwad, the cultural city, which is set to become a reality.
