Bengaluru: Food Safety Officers of the Health Department have issued a notice to the PVR INOX outlet at Forum Mall, Konanakunte Cross, Bengaluru, and shut its juice counter after finding violations of food safety regulations, Health Minister U T Khader said on Thursday.
Khader said in a post on X that officers acted on a complaint about the cups used to serve juice to customers at the multiplex. During the inspection they found violations of food safety rules, a notice was issued to the establishment and the juice counter was closed.
“When it comes to food safety, the same rules apply to everyone, from big brands to small vendors,” he said, urging all food businesses to follow the rules and run their business with their customers’ health in mind. “Public health matters as much as business.”
The minister asked the public to report unhygienic food, packaging or serving practices by scanning the Food Safety QR code and filing a complaint, saying every complaint will be looked into.
