BBMP portal has details of 10,000 sanctioned plans

The BBMP mandarins seem to be on a digitisation spree. After giving citizens a chance to see details of civic works online and launching an e-khata programme, it has put details of sanctioned house plans, as well as commencement and occupancy certificates, online.
This is welcome news for potential buyers of property in the city, as they can log in to the BBMP website to check whether the property concerned has all the required sanctions.
Digitised from FY19-20
In a first, the civic agency has put all the plans approved, commencement certificates and occupancy certificates issued from 2019-20 till date on its portal.
BBMP Commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad has requested citizens to visit https://bbmp.gov.in/townplanning.html to view these details.
In terms of numbers, BBMP has sanctioned 10,311 building plans for fiscal 2019-20 and 2020-21. It has also issued 356 commencement certificates and 329 occupancy certificate during these two financial years.
