NTA Revamps Examination Team, Removes 600 Experts; Four-Tier Question Paper Checks Planned
New Delhi: Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi has directed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to put in place all necessary security and related infrastructure for the smooth conduct of examinations, during a follow-up meeting on reforms at the agency.
Following the minister’s directions, the Director General of NTA briefed him on action taken by the agency, including a revamp of the examination team under which 600 experts have been removed and new experts are being onboarded.
NTA will also introduce a four-tier question paper checking system to strengthen scrutiny of examination papers.
The agency plans to induct 20 to 25 officials over the next two to three weeks. The meeting also reviewed plans for further induction of personnel.
NTA offices will be shifted to new premises on a war footing, where security will be reinforced with CISF teams, according to the information shared after the meeting.
