‘Pasha was inciting mob on mike’
BENGALURU:
The DJ Halli police have arrested Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) leader Muzammil Pasha in connection with Tuesday night’s KG Halli riots.
Pasha was reportedly seen addressing the rioters on a mike.
Five cases have been filed against Pasha at the DJ Halli police station. It is learnt that he is also involved in earlier cases of assault and provocative speech. Pasha is said to have contested bye-elections held for BBMPs Sagaypuram ward.
Another SDPI member, Ayaz, has also been arrested for instigating the mob.
The police are studying video footage of the vandalism and arson so as to make more arrests.
