Karnataka transfers feuding IAS officers Rohini Sindhuri and Shilpa Nag

‘Damage control’ by govt follows bitter Covid blame game between the duo

BENGALURU:

In a major move that was anticipated by TheBengaluruLive story on June 4, the Karnataka government has transferred both lady IAS officers — Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri and Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner Shilpa Nag. Both officers had been involved in a mutual blame game with respect to Covid management in Mysuru district.

The transfer orders were issued late on Saturday.

The state government has posted Sindhuri’s 2009 batchmate Dr Bagadi Gautham as Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru, while 2015 batch IAS officer Lakshmikanth Reddy G replaces Shilpa Nag as Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner.
